Only to lose it all in 1947, when India gains independence from Great Britain. Will Meena be able to reunite with her husband and children without falling in love with the man helping her? A man she had loved but given up ten years earlier to keep a promise made to a friend.
After shelving the manuscript for seven years, I spent 2023 and 2024 rewriting it while learning about the writing and publishing world today.
